This series made its debut in 1970 at the Genoa Boat Show.
Designed by Paolo Caliari, the hull had very innovative lines. The wooden hull was propelled by two Caterpillar engines with 205 HP each for a max speed of 28 knots.
From 1970 to 1971 Picchiotti built n.4 units of a Series called Lupo di Mare, 16, 5 meters.
From 1971 to 1975 the yard launched as well n.4 units of 68’.
