1932 MY Fiorenza

Lenght 18,00 metres
Displacement 110 GT

M/Y Fiorenza, commissioned by the Turin-based owner Amedeo Sacerdoti, was launched in 1932 near the old Trinità bridge in Florence. Built in Limite sull’Arno, it was disassembled and reassembled under the Lungarno Serristori, in the dry floodplain, next to the National Library, where a temporary yard was set up for the launch.

With a length of 18 metres and a shallow draught suitable for river navigation, the Fiorenza operated as a café-dancing boat on the Arno River in the ’30s. It offered river cruises with music and restaurant service on board, becoming a popular attraction for Florentines during its years of operation.
