The future of Picchiotti is deeply connected to its rich heritage, as demonstrated by the innovative Vintage concept, blending the timeless aesthetics of yesteryears with cutting-edge technology.
Under the leadership of Giovanni Costantino, CEO and Founder of The Italian Sea Group, the ambitious vision of Picchiotti aims to reinforce the brand’s legacy.
The shipyard dates back to 1575, with its first records in Limite sull’Arno, the shipbuilding hub of Medici-era Florence. During the Renaissance it evolved from small merchant vessels along the Arno River to sailing ships; then to 19th-century oceanic sailboats and steamships. The shipyard transitioned from commercial to military vessels, and from the 1920s, especially post-World War II, it focused only on yachts.
It all began with the aristocracy and the upper class indulging along the French Riviera on their splendid wooden yachts. Since then, Picchiotti has always maintained a consistent, vintage, and thrilling yachting style.
The new Vintage concept features old money style with modern twist to the classic lines of the American yachts’ golden age.
Unsurprisingly, the primary market for Picchiotti is the United States.
Leisure, indulgence, and success, this is part of the allure of owning a Picchiotti Vintage. Something that not everyone can afford. This exclusivity creates a sense of privilege and distinction among our yacht Owners, as they become part of an elite group.
Moreover, with all its 61-metre length, M/Y Vintage aims to become a platform for socializing, providing spaces and opportunities for business connections, and establishing within the upper echelons of society. This new concept ensures to be one-of-a-kind masterpiece, perfectly tailored to Owner’s vision, fully custom-build to reflect His unique style and taste.
Offering a disruptive ‘old-money’ aesthetic, the Vintage concept is also made for the younger generations, especially Gen Z. The future of yachts is undoubtedly intertwined with smart technology. From automated systems to artificial intelligence, the seamless connectivity onboard set apart the sailing experience of M/Y Vintage.
