1930’s Picchiotti signes a large contract with the Italian Air Force which air fleet was at 80% composed by hydroplanes.
Within the terms of this contract Picchiotti designed and manufactured a series of 140 boats with 60 Hp engines to tugboat the seaplanes.
At the same time Picchiotti starts the production of a series of water ambulances of 10,5 m with a speed of 36 knots.
